Delightful Decorations

This is a card that I made for my club meeting last month and then did not use. I used Delightful Decortation stamp set from the Holiday mini, along with the ornament punch that matched that set. Thank you Stampin' Up! for that punch. I just loath cutting things out!

I also used the shimmer paint on the stamped image. I used a dauber to add the shimmer paint to the image once it was stamped on the cardstock. I inked the small flower in shimmer paint and then stamped on the colored cardstock. It gives a cool shiny versamark effect.

Materials:

Stamps: Delightful Decorations
C/S: Old Olive, WW
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red
Accessories: Ornament punch, Shimmer paint, DSP Christmas Cocoa Speciality, Gold cord

Enjoy!

Gift Jar

Isn't this a cute little jar for candies? One of my very sweet club members, Ronda Jaramillo, made this for me. She bought the jars at Ikea, it was a pack of 4 $2.99, that is a great price.

I will try to find some, it would be fun to make these at club in December.

By the way, for some reason, there are no more M&M's in this jar! Hmmm...

Snowflakes

Christmas is in the air. Can you believe that it is not even Thanksgiving, yet all the stores are already selling Christmas items? I went to the salon this morning and they have their tree up!!

Anyway, I guess I am just the same. I have been making Christmas cards for the last two months. These cards were made with the Little Snow Flurries from Stampin' Up's Accents & Elements line. These little felt snowflakes make the cutest cards and I can not wait to create some scrapbook pages with them as well. In this set, you will receive 23 designs in 3 colors, that is 69 pieces in total! Wow, that is a lot. Love the colors: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze. I was not completely "sold" on these colors when they were introduced but boy, have I grown to love them!

Recipe below. Hint: When putting the adhesive on the felt flurries, apply it slowly. If you go too fast, it tends to just stick to your roller and not the felt. Button is just stuck on with adhesive as well. Super easy and really cute! Enjoy!

Stamps: Season of Joy
Ink: Versamark
C/S: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, DSP Ski Slope
Accessories: Ribbon Originals Alpine, Little Felt Flurries, Buttons, Dimensionals

Snowflake Card

This is a card that I cased from one of my uplines, Patty Bennett. See her blog at Patty's Stamping spot.

I changed up the colors and snowflake center and greeting. I used the snowflake die & Top Note die. I also used several punches. Thought it turned out pretty nice, I just love all the dies and the new Big Shot, it adds a completely new element to card making. I have just ordered the scribble swirls and big Tulipe die. Can't wait to play with those. Enjoy.

Recipe:

Stamps: Curvy Label
C/S: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, WW
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Bit Shot, Snowflake & Top Note die. Scallop punch, circle punches, Designer label punch, Snowflake punch, rhinestone from Pretties kit, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Dimensionals

A Wish for Peace

This is a card that I did for my Stamper's Club that met this last Friday. This card uses heat & stick & glitter for the focal. I stamped the main image in Craft Ink Old Olive and then sprinkled Heat & Stick powder over it. I then heated the image with the Heat Gun to set the image. I then immediately sprinkled with Iridescent Ice Glitter and hit it with the Heat gun again to set that.

I added a bit of color to the focal, by taking my blender pen to Ruby Red Classic Ink and coloring in the church.

Hope you like it.

Stamp: A wish for Peace
C/S: Ruby Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, DSP Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Craft Old Olive, Basic Brown, Ruby Red
Accessories: Heat & Stick Powder, Iridescent Ice Glitter, Blender pen, Ribbon Originals Alpine, dimensionals

3x3 Gift cards

These are 3x3 gift cards that we did on Friday at my Club meeting. I wanted to show the girls cards that were easy to make and great to give along with gifts for either family, friends or co-workers.

These little cards are great for using up your scraps of designer papers.

Start with a 3x6 piece of Old Olive that will be your card. Fold in half. Now you have a 3x3 card. I then layered using a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of Real Red c/s and then a piece of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of Dashing Designer paper. Layer the two pieces together but not yet to the Old Olive.
Next, take piece of 1/2 x 2 3/4 of Real Red and layer in the middle of the designer paper. Add some Very Vanilla ribbon and tie. Stamp "merry" from Season of Joy ( I used the Real Red marker using direct to rubber technique) and then use the window punch to punch out. Layer that onto the two layered pieces and tuck behind. At this point, you may adhere to the Old Olive.
Next you can either use the Poinsettia or circle Snowflake from Season of Joy. Layer with circle punch and layer again with Scallop. Use dimensionals to make your focal pop.

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Joy Card

This is a card that I made for a recent swap. I wanted to do something Christmas and I had just bought the "Season of Joy" stamp set.

The card base is a 4 1/4" by 8 1/2" piece of real red c/s. I stamped the flower from "In the Spotlight" using Very Vanilla Craft ink onto Old Olive cardstock. I adhered that to the Real Red and added the patterned paper from SU!'s designer paper pack "Dashing". I then took the River Rock ribbon and tied it to the card so the you can not see where the two papers meet.

The focal is Very Vanilla c/s with Old Olive ink. I used a damp Q-Tip to remove the ink from the poinsettias and Joy and then used my Real Red marker on those images, making sure to "huff" before stamping.

I then stamped the small circle flower in Real Red on WW c/s and punched out using the 3/4" circle punch. I added some glitter using Dazzling Diamonds & the Two-way glue pen. I adhered the punched circle with a dimensional to add depth to the card.

Lastly, I punched out the flower using the Snowflake, this is a perfect stamp to use with this punch. Added the brad and adhered with a dimensional.

It sounds like a lot of steps but this card actually comes together quickly. Enjoy!
