Ink: Perfect Plum, Basic Black
c/s: Perfect Plum, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, WW
Accessories: Scallop & Circle punches, Spooky Treats rub-on's, Top Note die, Designer & Modern label punch, plastic bags

Enjoy,

Halloween Matchbox

Hi Stampers,

This is a project I made for my Stamper's club last month. It was all about Halloween. We made 4 projects: two cards and two treat containers. This is one of the treat containers. You can fit about 5 of the small size chocolate bars in here.

I used the Spooky Treats rub-ons and added a rhinestone to the eye. I popped the rhinestone out of the metal so that it was a more flat fit on the box.

Materials:

C/S: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Matchbox die, Spooky Treats rub-ons, rhinestone, Pumpkin Pie Striped ribbon, Cast-a-Spell DSP, Sticky Strip

Enjoy,
Elyse

Halloween Party

Every year our friends, Steve & Suzanne, have a Halloween party. This year was no exception. They encourage everyone to dress up, usually the adults grumble about this, but this year we embraced it! I have already mentioned in a previous post that our family did a Star Wars theme. I was Princess Leia, Calyn was baby Leia, Hayden a Clone Trooper and Greg was the Emperor Palpatine. It was quite fun and everyone had fun dressing up.

This photo is of me, Calyn & Jeanann. Calyn was hot in her costume, so she was changed. I had lost the wig but was still wearing my gown.

This is a picture of Calyn with her costume on. Doesn't the wig look more like ram horns? We were calling her little ram all night.

The picture below is of everyone. Starting from the left we have Baby Leia, Clone Trooper, Princess Leia, Princess, Darth Maul, Sarah Palin, Hanna Montana, Police Officer, Witch, scary "scream" guy, scary ugly guy, Ariel the Mermaid, Snow White and Dead Groom.

This is a picture of all the kids. They had a blast.

Star Wars Halloween

We all got into the Halloween spirit this year. A friend of ours hosts a Halloween party every year and insists that EVERYONE dress up. We have grumbled about it in years past but this year we were ready!

Hayden is totally into Star Wars and wanted to go as a Clone Trooper. If you are not familiar with the Star Wars saga, a Clone Trooper is the same as a Storm Trooper. Both work for the evil Lord Darth Vader and are on dark side. So I thought, let's make it a family theme.

I was Princess Leia, Calyn was Baby Leia and Greg was the Emperor Palpatine. We had a great time. More pictures of that evening will follow.

Other costumes that night were: Ariel, the mermaid, Hanna Montana, Darth Maul, Snow White, Sarah Palin, a Cop, a dead groom, witch and two scary creatures.

Just Jawing and the Big Shot

Here is another sample card using the new Stampin' Up! Just Jawing set. I also used the negative cut out from the Top Note Bigz die. I just love how it frames the card. This set is too fun. I have also seen the skull done with a pirate hat on, which is TOO cute. Will have to try that!

Stamps: Just Jawing
C/S: Basic black, Whisper White, DSP Ghostly Greetings
Ink: Stazon Black
Accessories: Bit Shot, Top Note Bigz die (Negative piece), Chunky glitter, Pumpkin Pie Striped ribbon, Rinestones from the Pretties kit.

Halloween Trophy Card

I went to an upline meeting in August and one of the Demonstrators made this really cute Christmas Trophy card. I decided that my club girls would love it and decided to make it a Halloween version.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie 4 1/4" by 11". Score at 10", 8 1/4", 7 1/4" & 5 1/2". Turn around and make the same scores, except for the 5 1/2", it will already be there from your previous scoring. At your 5 1/2" score line, cut 1/2" from one side, to 1/2" from the other side. Fold your card at the scores to make it easy to manipulate. Pick a front side and then wheel using Spooky Skyline in Pumkpin Pie. Just under your wheel marks there will be two score lines 1/2" apart. Cut Basic Black c/s and Creepy Crawly designer paper, punch each using Ticket Punch, adhere together and to card.
Next, I made the focal. I used Shimmery White c/s and stamped an image from Booglie Eyes, making sure to stamp close to the top. Then I stamped the greeting, not to low, or it will not show up. I then layered Pumkpin Pie & Basic Black c/s to the focal.
Now for the tricky part. At the bottom of the card, there is a 1/2" score at the bottom. I tucked both the front & back side under and slid the focal through the Puimpkin Pie c/s and lined up the focal so that it was even with the bottom of each. I then took SNAIL and ran it all the way along each tucked under flap and pushed all three pieces (tucked under flaps and focal) together.
The end result is that the card will stand up once it is opened. This is nice for a birthday card, Christmas card, etc. and will look really nice on someone's desk at work or at home. Enjoy!
