Weekend Sketch Challenge #45

This is a card similar, very similar, to one that I made the week before last for a Upline swap. I had extra pieces and when I saw Beate's challenge, I thought that I could change a few things around to make it work. I have always wanted to participate in her challenges, but never seem to get the card done in time. The weekends are not my big stamping time.

Anyway, I will be posting more on this card, in it's original version later this week.

Thanks!

Shower Invites

My Mother-in-Law is throwing me a baby shower on May 4th. When she told me that she wanted to do this, I asked if she would mine if I make the invitations. I had seen the cutest baby card at Regionals in Oakland and wanted to try them. Well, they are very cute but VERY time consuming. I ended up doing 20 of this version, which is the baby Onesie and then did 20 of another version, which I will also list in another post.

You can find the template for the baby onesie on Lauren Meader's Blog,http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/02/05/create-your-own-onesie-card-tutorial-and-important-note-please-read/ She is very talented and has done tons of tutorials. For this card, I pretty much cased her card that was on Stamper's Showcase. The colors were perfect.

Here is the product list:
Stamps - So Many Scallops
C/S - Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink
Ink - Craft Vanilla, Choc Chip
Access: Scallop & Circle punches, eyelets, handheld punches, ribbon, Crafter's hobby blade

Card Swaps for Club Swap

My Stampers Club has come along way and we recently did a swap so that all the ladies could have some extra cards. I can't believe how creative the cards turned out. Ladies, you have come a long way! I am so proud of each of them. Here are the swaps, in no particular order. I have do more than one post to list them out. Check back later for the rest.

Wanted - Swap card for Club

This is a card that I made for a card swap that I did with my Stamper's Club in March.
I have been "wanting" to use the Wanted s/s from SU! for a while. I really liked the way this card turned out. The card is 5 x 5.

I stamped the main image in River Rock and then stamped it again using Choc Chip to create a shadow effect. I sponged the edges of the Soft Sky paper with Choc Chip and distressed the Twill with Choc Chip as well.

Products used:

Stamps: Wanted
C/S: Ruby Red, Bayou Blue, Soft Sky, D.P. Western Sky
Ink: Ruby Red, Bayou Blue, River Rock, Choc Chip
Access: Twill, Sponge, Scallop, Circle, corner & Star punches, Dimensionals, Brad & Choc Chip marker.
