Our trip to Joan's Pumpkin Patch. Daddy finally got to join us this year!

Hayden loves to run through the pumpkins, here he is stilling on the pumpkin that he picked out.!

Hayden feeding the goats. He thought that was so cool. And he kept his hand flat so that he would not get bitten! Too cute!

3x3 Gift cards

These are 3x3 gift cards that we did on Friday at my Club meeting. I wanted to show the girls cards that were easy to make and great to give along with gifts for either family, friends or co-workers.

These little cards are great for using up your scraps of designer papers.

Start with a 3x6 piece of Old Olive that will be your card. Fold in half. Now you have a 3x3 card. I then layered using a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of Real Red c/s and then a piece of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of Dashing Designer paper. Layer the two pieces together but not yet to the Old Olive.
Next, take piece of 1/2 x 2 3/4 of Real Red and layer in the middle of the designer paper. Add some Very Vanilla ribbon and tie. Stamp "merry" from Season of Joy ( I used the Real Red marker using direct to rubber technique) and then use the window punch to punch out. Layer that onto the two layered pieces and tuck behind. At this point, you may adhere to the Old Olive.
Next you can either use the Poinsettia or circle Snowflake from Season of Joy. Layer with circle punch and layer again with Scallop. Use dimensionals to make your focal pop.

Happy Holidays!
This is another card using the Dashing Designer Paper from SU! I just can't get enough of this paper. This is called a Criss Cross card. You can use the link below to get to the Tutorial on Split Coast Stampers. I pretty much "cased" the card because I really wanted to make it a Christmas card and I had the paper! Just changed the colors a bit! Enjoy!

Be advised that this card will not fit in the "normal" envelope. It is just too bulky and with the tab punch sticking up, it is too big. Order the large envelopes.

This card uses several punches: Tab punch, Scallop punch & Snowflake punch, as well as the Crop-a-Dile, and 1/16" punch.

Materials used (besides punches): Season of Joy & In the Spotlight stamp sets, Real Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla c/s. Real Red & Old Olive inks. Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Large Brads & Sticky Strip.

Joy Fold Christmas Card

This is a card from my Club meeting last Friday. This is a Joy Fold card using Dashing Designer paper. I love this paper, as you will be able to tell from my next few posts. There are two pictures. The second shows how the card opens up. You just want to be sure to place the build-a-brad so that it holds your focal down, but not too much or it will be too hard to get open. Enjoy!

You can go to the following link for a tutorial on how to make this card: http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2007/05/05/joy-fold-tutorial/

Materials used for this card: Season of Joy Stamp Set, Dashing Designer Paper, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, & Real Read c/s, Real Red Craft Pad, Old Olive Classic Ink Pad, Heat & Stick powder, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, dimensionals and Build-a-Brad.

For the Poinsettias, I stamped them in Real Red Craft Pad and then sprinkled with Heat & Stick. I then heated them up and poured on the glitter, heating again to set the glitter.

That's it. Fairly easy card with lots of bang! My clubbers loved it and some are considering making this their Christmas card.
