Sunflower Card

This card I made using a tutorial from Andrea Walford's blog, click here to view her awesome blog.
She colored on the stamp using many colors of markers and she then sprayed the stamp with water. She called it watercoloring misting with markers. I wanted to try it and I think it turned out good. Enjoy

Recipe:

Stamps: Inspired by nature
C/S: Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, WW
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Markers: Summer Sun, Really Rust Close to Cocoa, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke

Envelope Card

This is an envelope card using the envelope die cut that is used with the Big Shot. I got inspiration for this card from Patty Bennett, see her blog for other samples, Patty's Blog.

Easy Peasy card. 4x4 Kiwi Kiss, Hawaiian Papaya Designer series paper, Scallop Edge Punch, Kiwi Kiss Striped ribbon, Designer label punch and flower brad. Too cute!

Calyn is 3 months

Calyn is 3 month old. I can not believe that 3 months ago she was still in my belly. She is so big, time flies when they are this little. Our family is now complete with this little girl in our lives! What is she doing?

Calyn at 3 month is:

12.8 lbs (at 2 month appt, probably close to 13lbs)
22 3/4"
Smiling (big time!)
Almost rolling over (gotta get that arm out of the way)
Laughing (a little bit)
Wearing size 1 diaper (still, never did fit into newborns!)
Lovin' her mobile in her crib
Not liking tummy time too much
Losing her dark brown hair (around the sides)
Loves bath time
Drooling big time (can she be cutting a tooth already?)
Going to sleep between 9-10
Waking up still 2-3 times per night (mostly two)
Sometimes sleeping until 4:00am
Completely unaware that we have a dog
Loves her big brother, smiles big time when he talks to her
Is aware when Daddy is home

Just Because

I was playing around with the Top Note Bigz die and wanted to use the "negative" image. The card turned out pretty cute, not completely what I was going for, but not bad.

Recipe:

Stamps: Eastern Blooms
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, WW, Washington Apple DSP
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Circles punches, rinestomes, Top Note Bigz die(negative piece)

Gotta LOVE the Big Shot

I have been having fun playing with my new toy, The Big Shot. Stampin' Up! has teamed up with Sizzix and we now have a die cut machine! So exciting.

These cards were made using the Top Note Bigz die. It is an awesome die to use for a focal and there are SO many things that can be done with it.

I made two versions, both using the new Upsy Daisy set that is an additional 20% off through September. Love this set, it is going to get a lot of use.

I stamped the image first in Baja Breeze and then used the Rock-n-Roll technique with Pacific Point.

Recipe:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy
Paper: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, WW, Urban Garden DSP
Ink: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Top Note Bigz die, Sponge, Pacific Point ribbon, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, dimensionals,
